The owner of Serie A club AS Roma, Dan Friedkin, is reported to be considering purchasing Everton after a deal with investment group 777 Partners fell through.

Until the end of last month, the current owner of Everton, Farhad Moshiri, was under an exclusivity agreement with the US-based company.

Sky Sports reports that Dan Friedkin is one of up to six parties showing interest as Moshiri considers his options.

Additionally, two Liverpool-based businessmen, Andy Bell and George Downing, are reportedly interested in acquiring the club.

John Textor, a part-owner of Crystal Palace and Lyon, is also a potential candidate but would need to sell his 45% stake in the London-based club before proceeding with the Everton takeover.

Reportedly, other interested parties such as A-Cap, MSP Sports Capital, and DFO Management (formerly MSD) are also considering involvement in the acquisition, but they would prefer to invest in conjunction with other groups.
