Bayern Munich is reportedly contemplating hiring Burnley manager, Vincent Kompany, for the open coaching position at the Bundesliga club.

Fabrizio Romano has indicated that the German team has held talks about the Belgian coach but may have to compete with other suitors for his services.

After Roberto De Zerbi’s departure from Brighton was confirmed last week, the Seagulls are reportedly eyeing a potential move for Burnley’s manager.

Despite Burnley’s relegation from the Premier League this season, Vincent Kompany’s reputation remains strong. The former Manchester City star managed to enhance his team’s displays towards the latter part of the campaign, although it wasn’t enough to prevent their drop to the Championship.

At 38 years old, Kompany attracted significant attention for his efforts last as Burnley emerged as one of the most formidable teams in Championship history, accumulating 101 points, the sixth-highest total in the division’s history.

Whether Kompany will depart Burnley is uncertain, and a potential to Bayern Munich would undoubtedly surprise many.
