Chelsea, Liverpool And Man City Release €40 Million Clause To Sign Michael Olise
The big six Premier League teams, Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Arsenal have been informed that signing former Super Eagles invitee Michael Olise will cost them more than €40 million.
SportsXparte reports that Olise’s new Crystal Palace contract has a release clause “worth well in excess of €40m.” In the latest transfer window, the 22-year-old nearly signed with West London-based Chelsea, but ultimately decided to extend his contract with the Eagles.
That hasn’t stopped rumours from circulating, though, that he may be leaving Selhurst Park, with many massive Premier League teams vying for his services.
Furthermore, It is no longer news that Manchester United would love to recruit the French-Nigerian forward in the summer of 2020 and consider Olise to be an improvement over right-wing alternative Antony, who hasn’t scored a goal in the Premier League this year.
Liverpool feels that he would be a perfect fit for Mohamed Salah, who may opt to depart for Saudi Arabia at the end of the current campaign.
There have already been rumours that Chelsea, Manchester City, and Arsenal are interested in signing him.
Olise is a nominee for the Premier League’s December Player of the Month award, having earned both the Player and Goal of the Month honours with Crystal Palace.
