Crystal Palace delivered a resounding 4-0 victory over Manchester United at Selhurst Park, the victory means that Crystal Palace has completed its first-ever Premier League double against Manchester United by beating the Red Devils home and away this season.

The match began with Palace immediately exploiting Manchester United’s weakened backline, with Michael Olise leading the line with his mesmerizing footwork and clinical finishing. Just 12 minutes into the game, Michael Olise displayed his quality by calmly slotting the ball into the bottom right corner, leaving United’s defense in disarray.

Not content with just that, Olise attempted to add another, with his first attempt inadvertently blocked by teammate Jean-Philippe Mateta before Andre Onana came out on top in a one-on-one situation.

Just before halftime Mateta, set up by Richards, drifted past Evans and scored a brilliant goal. This marked Mateta’s eighth goal in 11 matches under Glasner, continuing his impressive scoring streak.

The second half saw Palace maintain their dominance, with Onana making impressive saves from Tyrick Mitchell and Will Hughes, Onana was unable to prevent Mitchell from scoring after a brilliant cross from Adam Wharton.

As the match drew to a close, Palace sealed their victory in style, with Daniel Muñoz dispossessing Casemiro to set up Olise for his second goal a thunderous strike that put the result beyond doubt.

On the other hand, the defeat was a significant blow to Manchester United, marking their heaviest loss of the season and their 13th defeat in a challenging Premier League campaign. Despite this setback, United can look forward to the Manchester Derby FA Cup final as a chance for redemption and silverware.
