Disasi Rescues Chelsea To 2-2 Draw Against Brentford
Chelsea drew 2-2 with Brentford in the Premier League match at the Brentford Community Stadium, the game started with both teams displaying a high level of energy & determination.
Brentford matched Chelsea’s pace and intensity during the opening 25 minutes, but the visitors eventually gained control of possession, causing Brentford to struggle to maintain their early momentum.
Chelsea took the lead in the first half through a well-executed header by Nicolas Jackson, who capitalized on a precise pass from Gusto to put the visitors ahead.
Despite Brentford’s efforts to respond, Chelsea continued to press forward, with Ben Chilwell and Cole Palmer coming close to extending their lead before the halftime break.
However, the second half saw a shift in momentum as Brentford came out with renewed motivation pushing higher up the pitch and disrupting Chelsea’s possession game. Sergio Reguilon’s blocked shot inside the box led to Mads Roerslev’s equalizer, sparking the Brentford fans & setting the stage at the beginning of the second half.
Yoane Wissa then stole the show with a spectacular overhead kick that put Brentford in the lead, sending the home crowd into excitement. Despite the pressure, Chelsea regrouped in the final minutes of the game, with Axel Disasi rising to the occasion and heading home a crucial goal from Cole Palmer’s corner kick.
The goal rescued a point for Chelsea & prevented a defeat that would have added to the pressure on manager Pochettino.
