The Rangers International Football Club from Enugu, known as the Flying Antelopes or Enugu Rangers, have been crowned the champions of the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) for the 2023/2024 season.

Enugu Rangers were unofficially declared champions of the NPFL last week following their 2-0 victory over Bendel Insurance at their home ground in Enugu.

Having won their last game against Gombe United, Amobi Ezeakwu, the team’s captain, was presented with the trophy and a prize of one hundred and fifty million naira during the weekend by the President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Ibrahim Musa Gusau.
High-profile guests at the match included the top officials of the NFF led by the president, along with other board members, the chairman of the league board Gbenga Elegbeleye, and the governors of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang and Enugu, Peter Mbah.
With this win, Rangers International will be representing Nigeria in the African Champions League alongside Remo Stars.
