The prolific forward, who has scored 18 goals this season, has been absent from the squad since the victory over Newcastle United on New Year’s Day.

Salah had been representing Egypt in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d’Ivoire but unfortunately sustained a muscle injury during a match against Ghana.

Following his injury, he was brought back from the Ivory Coast and has been undergoing rehabilitation and following a personalized training program at Liverpool’s AXA Training Centre in Kirkby.
