Inter Milan secured a crucial 2-0 victory over relegation-threatened Empoli, further solidifying their position at the top of the Serie A table.

The match, which saw Inter extend their unbeaten run to an impressive 24 league matches, displayed the team’s firm focus & determination.

The match pace was set early on as Federico Dimarco opened the scoring in the fifth minute with a clinical finish from the edge of the box, courtesy of an assist from Alessandro Bastoni. Despite Empoli’s attempts to comeback Inter’s defense remained resolute, with goalkeeper Emil Audero making key saves to deny the visitors any chance of equalizing.

As the first half progressed, Inter continued to maintain their dominance, creating numerous scoring opportunities that kept Empoli’s defense on high alert. Nicolo Barella & Benjamin Pavard came close to adding to the lead, but it was Alexis Sanchez who ultimately sealed the victory with a well-taken goal late in the game, capitalizing on a swift counter-attack orchestrated by Denzel Dumfries.
