It has been reported that Jose Mourinho has agreed to a two-year deal to make his return to management.

The former Roma manager has been without a job since his sacking in January. Recently, there have been rumors linking him to clubs in the Saudi Pro League and potential international positions.

According to Sky Sports’ Gianluca Di Marzio, Jose Mourinho has reportedly finalized a two-year deal with Turkish club Fenerbahce. The sporting director of Fenerbahce, Mario Branco, is said to have played a crucial role in facilitating this agreement.

An official announcement from the Turkish club regarding Mourinho’s move is anticipated later today.

Besiktas had shown interest in recruiting the former Chelsea and Real Madrid coach as well.

Despite claiming an impressive 99 points and only losing a single league game all season, Fenerbahce finished second in the Turkish Super Lig, just three points behind bitter rivals Galatasaray.

With Fenerbahce’s presidential elections approaching, both candidates have supposedly pinpointed Mourinho as the ideal choice for the club’s next manager.

The 61-year-old is set to join forces with former Roma striker Edin Dzeko at Fenerbahce. Jose Mourinho has openly expressed his eagerness for a swift return to a managerial role.

“I’m ready to start,” he told Fabrizio Romano back in March. “And sometimes when you are in a club and feel the need of a rest, a think, to process things. In this case, one day after I left [Roma], I was ready to go.”

“I feel strong, I feel good. I love the work. I’m ready, but I don’t want to make the wrong choice. I cannot accept something just because of the feeling and just because of the passion to be back, so I have to be patient. We are in March. Is something going to happen in March or Apil? It’s very difficult. My objective is to start next summer.”
