Juventus Reduces Federico Chiesa’s Price Tag

Juventus has lowered their asking price for Federico Chiesa, who has attracted interest from numerous clubs.

Juventus coach, Thiago Motta, had recently mentioned publicly that the club has excluded Chiesa from the project, as the Italian wasn’t called up to the squad against Brest yesterday.

It appears that Chiesa’s future is likely to be elsewhere from Juventus. According to Mirko di Natale, the club’s valuation of the Italian winger has dropped to €15 million, down from its previous figure of €25 million.

This reduction in price presents a significant opportunity for potential suitors, including Tottenham, Chelsea, Napoli, and possibly even Inter. With the risk of losing the player on a free transfer next summer, Juventus is eager to secure a transfer fee rather than let him leave for nothing.

Their desire to offload him is reflected in this reduced valuation.

Juventus pushing Chiesa out

Thiago Motta confirms without doubt that ‘the decision has been made’ for Juventus to sell Federico Chiesa, Tiago Djalo, and Hans Nicolussi Caviglia. ‘We have been very clear with them.’

The trio was excluded from the squad for yesterday’s 2-2 friendly draw against Brest at the Stadio Adriatico in Pescara, where the goals were netted by Dusan Vlahovic and Danilo.

It had been reported that they were cut from the group because they were transfer-listed and the coach made the position clear.

“Chiesa is out for transfer reasons, the same as the others who were left behind, other than Fabio Miretti who is injured,” Thiago Motta told Sky Sport Italia.

“We have been very clear with them. They are talented but must find other options where they will get more playing time. For Chiesa and the others, the decision has been made.”

While Tiago Djalo and Nicolussi Caviglia are expected to be sent out on loan to gain experience, Chiesa’s contract runs until June 2025, which means he needs to be sold this summer to prevent the risk of losing him as a free agent.
