Liverpool beat toothless Chelsea 4-1 in Wednesday’s Premier League encounter.

Liverpool’s famous ground, Anfield, was charged with an electric atmosphere on Wednesday night as Jurgen Klopp’s boys maintained their Premier League title race.

SportXparte reports that the night’s match is significant to Liverpool as it has the potential to greatly impact the Red’s title race.

However, the Reds rose to the occasion and showcased their prowess by securing a commanding 4-1 triumph over their rivals from Stamford Bridge.

The home side wasted no time in the clash, asserting their dominance, with Diogo Jota opening the scoring streak at 23 minutes of the game.

Conor Bradley and Dominik Szoboslai all score a goal each to further put Liverpool ahead.

However, Christopher Nkuku scored for Chelsea in the 71 minutes of the game. His goal, unfortunately, was not enough to save Mauricio Pochettino’s men from the massive defeat as Luiz Diaz scored the fourth goal for Liverpool in the 79 minutes.

Liverpool is currently the leader of the EPL table with 51 points after playing 22 games.
