Manchester City’s manager, Pep Guardiola, has highlighted the exceptional quality of four Premier League teams in the current season. According to Guardiola, these teams are Chelsea, Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur, and Liverpool.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference ahead of Manchester City’s upcoming Premier League clash against Luton Town, Guardiola emphasized the high calibre of these teams. “We’ve faced top, top, top teams,” Guardiola stated. “Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham, and Aston Villa are currently exceptional teams.”
Guardiola acknowledged that his team has encountered formidable opposition this season, recognizing the strength and quality of these clubs. Reflecting on their position, Guardiola mentioned, “This isn’t the first time we’ve faced such competition. In every season, there have been phases where we’ve struggled to secure results.”
He also referred to last season’s challenges, highlighting Manchester City’s difficulties. “Last season, we encountered significant struggles. At one point, we were eight or nine points behind Arsenal due to numerous injuries we had to cope with.”
