Manchester United Sets Asking Price For Jadon Sancho

In 2021, Jadon Sancho completed his transfer to Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund, fulfilling the club’s long-standing interest by paying a hefty fee of £73 million for his services.

However, the 24-year-old found it challenging to perform at the same level he did at Dortmund in the Premier League.

Subsequently, he returned to Signal Iduna Park on loan in January after refusing to apologize to Erik Ten Hag for a comment he made on social media in September.

Manchester United have set a £40m price on out-of-favor winger Jadon Sancho.

The 24-year-old played a pivotal role in Dortmund’s journey to the Champions League final and played almost the whole game as the Bundesliga club excelled against Real Madrid before eventually losing to two late goals.

It was previously believed that Sancho’s future at Old Trafford would be tied to Ten Hag’s, as the Dutchman’s situation remained uncertain.

Nonetheless, Manchester United is reportedly seeking to offload Sancho this summer, regardless of the manager, and is aiming for a £40m fee for the English international.

Dortmund is eager for Sancho to come back next season but prefers another loan agreement. United is pushing for a permanent transfer, considering constraints on transfer funds due to Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations.

Sancho has just two years remaining on his contract.

Reports suggest that there has been European interest in Sancho, with Juventus being one of the clubs previously associated with the former Manchester City academy player.
