Guardiola, who assumed leadership of the Manchester-based club in the summer of 2016, has agreed to a new one-year contract extension that will keep him at the helm until the summer of 2026. Since taking over at Manchester City, the Spanish manager has achieved remarkable success for the team.
The 53-year-old has helped them win numerous league titles, and he has also ended their wait for the coveted Champions League title. Manchester City have won the last four league titles, and they are looking to make it five in a row this term.
Guardiola has decided his future
As Pep Guardiola’s current contract is set to expire at the end of the season, speculation about his future has intensified. He has recently been linked to managerial positions with both the England and Brazil national teams, having previously indicated his interest in pursuing international management.
