Following months of speculation and eager anticipation, Kylian Mbappe was officially announced as a Real Madrid player on Monday. He inked a long-term deal with the La Liga club.

The French forward had declared his intent to depart from his previous club, Paris Saint-Germain, a few weeks back. Despite much speculation, his heavily anticipated transfer to the La Liga and Champions League champions had not been formally confirmed until now.

Kylian Mbappe spent seven seasons at PSG, having made the switch from Monaco in 2018 for a staggering transfer fee of €180 million. During his time with the Parisian club, he netted 162 goals in Ligue 1 and secured six league titles.

He will be teaming up with exceptional players such as Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, and Jude Bellingham to form a formidable attacking force in Madrid.

“Real Madrid CF and Kylian Mbappe have reached an agreement whereby he will be a Real Madrid player for the next five seasons,” the club said in a statement.

Mbappe took to social media to share the news. “A dream come true, so happy and proud to join the club of my dreams,” he wrote on X.
