Roma continued their unbeaten streak against Monza at the Stadio Brianteo(Monza), making it four matches without a loss.

The game started with Roma showing confidence, with Michele Di Gregorio making a save from Lorenzo Pellegrini’s long-range shot.

Monza fought back, with Milan Duric coming close to scoring with a header that narrowly missed the target. Roma thought they had broken the deadlock with Bryan Cristante’s goal, but VAR intervened and ruled it out for an offside in the build-up.

However, Roma persisted, and captain Pellegrini led by example, scoring a fantastic goal from Romelu Lukaku’s pass just before halftime. The visitors extended their lead through Romelu Lukaku, who finished off a beautiful cross from Paulo Dybala.

Despite Monza’s efforts in the second half, including attempts from Duric and Andrea Carboni, Dybala sealed the victory for Roma with a stunning free-kick. Leandro Paredes added a fourth from the penalty spot, while Carboni scored a late screamer for Monza.

This win puts Roma just one point away from a Champions League spot, currently held by surprise contenders Bologna. On the other hand, Monza’s hopes of European qualification are still alive, but they’ll need to bounce back in their next games.
