In a press conference on Friday, Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel delivered concerning news regarding the availability of key players for the upcoming Champions League quarter-final clash against Arsenal.

Manuel Neuer, Leroy Sane, Kingsley Coman, Aleksandar Pavlovic, & Noussair Mazraoui are all in doubt for the crucial fixture, with Tuchel citing fatigue as a major factor.

“The problem is that none of those five have been rested. They are not in the squad for Saturday because they can’t play, which is why they are big question marks for Tuesday,” Tuchel expressed to reporters.

With Bayern currently trailing Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen by 13 points in the league standings and already ousted from the German Cup by’ Saarbruecken, the Champions League represents their last opportunity for silverware this season. Tuchel remains optimistic about their chances, emphasizing their goal to reach the final at Wembley.

“We still have one goal left, which is to travel to Wembley. We’re in the quarter-finals, so there are not too many more steps to be taken. Nothing matters except this goal,” Tuchel affirmed.

Despite the setbacks, Tuchel is determined to harness the team’s frustration & turn it into motivation. “We’re all extremely annoyed, and we have anger in our stomachs to set things straight,” he declared.

In a surprising move, Bayern also announced the departure of technical director and long-time scout Marco Neppe. Neppe, a former footballer with experience in Germany’s lower leagues, played a crucial role in identifying talents like Jamal Musiala & Alphonso Davies during his time at Bayern.
