Liverpool and Chelsea are eyeing a potential move for Hakan Calhanoglu from Inter Milan. Still, the Italian club might not be eager to part with the in-form midfielder mid-season. Meanwhile, Newcastle United is exploring goalkeeper options from Crystal Palace and Valencia, Sportxparte reports.

Both Liverpool and Chelsea are keen on bolstering their squads, with the midfield a priority for Liverpool and Chelsea seeking reinforcements in the center-forward position. Reports suggest that the two clubs have set their sights on acquiring Hakan Calhanoglu’s services.

The 29-year-old midfielder has been in remarkable form, contributing seven goals and a couple of assists in 15 games, playing a pivotal role in Inter’s ascent to the top of the Serie A table. However, any potential move for Calhanoglu in January would likely demand a significant offer to tempt Inter, especially as they compete strongly for the league title. Moreover, the player is under contract with Inter until 2027, further complicating any transfer negotiations.

On another front, Valencia, facing financial challenges, might entertain offers for goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili in the upcoming transfer window. The 23-year-old shot-stopper has attracted interest from Tottenham, Manchester United, and Newcastle. Despite his £87 million release clause, Valencia’s financial situation might force them to consider offers below that valuation.

Tottenham previously expressed interest but recently secured Guglielmo Vicario. Manchester United, too, might not immediately pursue a significant goalkeeping move, considering Andre Onana’s position. However, Newcastle, experiencing defensive challenges, could be on the lookout for a temporary goalkeeper to address their immediate needs.

Newcastle’s recent defensive struggles, exacerbated by Nick Pope’s four-month absence due to a shoulder injury, prompted manager Eddie Howe to assess Martin Dubravka’s readiness. Dubravka, returning after a prolonged spell on the sidelines, appeared rusty in recent matches, conceding seven goals in two games since Pope’s injury against Manchester United.

With the possibility of pursuing Sam Johnstone, who is currently injured, Newcastle might seek a temporary solution. Johnstone’s availability could align well with Newcastle’s needs, provided Dean Henderson recovers and assumes his place at Crystal Palace before the year ends.

As the transfer window approaches, these potential moves could reshape the dynamics for Liverpool, Chelsea, and Newcastle, addressing their respective requirements and injecting fresh talent into their squads.
