In the lead-up to the highly anticipated Champions League quarter-final match between Real Madrid & Manchester City, Spanish authorities have been placed on high alert following a stark warning issued by’ ISIS.

The terrorist group’s threat targeted not only the Santiago Bernabeu, where the clash is set to take place but also other stadiums hosting quarter-final games.

The Al Azaim Foundation, a known ISIS media outlet, released a chilling poster with the message ‘Kill them all’, listing the names of the venues set to host Champions League matches this week. This alarming development has prompted Spanish officials to implement heightened security measures in Madrid, where both Real Madrid & Atletico Madrid are scheduled to play.

In response to the threat, Spanish authorities have reassured the public that they are fully prepared to handle any potential risks. To ensure the safety of players, staff, & spectators, over 2,000 members from the National Police & Civil Guard will be deployed in Madrid for extensive surveillance operations leading up to the match. The security measures are not limited to the Real Madrid vs. Manchester City game but also extend to Atletico Madrid’s match against Borussia Dortmund at the Wanda Metropolitano.
