AFCON: Doping Test Result For Victor Osimhen, Two Other Super Eagles Players Emerge
Confirmation has been received regarding the drug test results for three Super Eagles players participating in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
SportXparte reports that Napoli star striker Victor Osimhen and his other Super Eagles teammates, Ademola Lookman and captain William Troost-Ekong, were all tested for doping at the AFCON tournament in Cote d’Ivoire.
However, the trio have all tested negative. These random tests were conducted following Nigeria’s 2-0 victory over Cameroon in the Round of 16.
Recall that Lookman recorded an impressive performance in that match, scoring twice to secure the Eagles’ spot in the quarter-finals, where they will face Angola on Friday.
Osimhen and Troost-Ekong have also contributed with one goal each throughout the tournament.
All the players are expected to be available for selection against the Palancas Negras.
