The Super Eagles of Nigeria have officially announced that Victor Osimhen has received medical clearance to participate in the 2023 AFCON semi-final match against South Africa on Wednesday, January 7th.
SportXparte reports that there were concerns regarding Osimhen’s availability for the game as he did not travel with the team from Abidjan to Bouaké, Ivory Coast’s second-largest city, on Monday, January 5th.
However, it was reported on Tuesday that Osimhen was allowed to rejoin the team in Bouaké, although he was not yet cleared to play.

The team statement reads: “Victor Osimhen has been declared fit and available for selection in the semi-final clash against South Africa on Wednesday.
