Argentina displayed their resilience and attacking abilities in a thrilling international friendly against Costa Rica, as they secured a 3-1 comeback victory in Los Angeles. Despite missing their injured captain Lionel Messi, the South American giants put on a dominant display at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, wrapping up their successful two-match tour of the United States.

The match started with Argentina dictating the tempo & creating numerous scoring opportunities in the first half. However, it was Costa Rica who took the lead against the run of play through a swift counter-attack that led to Alvaro Zamora’s goal. The setback did not affect Argentina, as they came out firing in the second half with veteran Angel Di Maria hit a superb free-kick from just outside the area which flew into the top corner beyond the reach of Costa Rica goalkeeper Keylor Navas.
