Arsenal continued their pursuit of a first Premier League title since 2004 with a comfortable 2-0 win over Luton Town at Emirates Stadium, extending their impressive unbeaten record against newly-promoted sides at home to 39 games.

Despite making five changes to the lineup from their draw against Manchester City, Mikel Arteta’s side showed no signs of disruption as they dominated possession early on.

The match saw Emile Smith Rowe play a pivotal role, setting up Martin Ødegaard for the opening goal & contributing to the own goal scored by’ Daiki Hashioka just before halftime. Ødegaard’s clinical finish marked his 10th goal across all competitions this season, displaying Arsenal’s attacking skills.

Defensively, Arsenal remained solid, with Gabriel Magalhães making a crucial block to deny Luton any late hope of a comeback. The Gunners’ ability to keep a clean sheet also ended Luton’s impressive run of scoring in 18 consecutive matches, showing their defensive resilience.

With this victory, Arsenal climbed to the top of the Premier League table, although temporarily, pending Liverpool’s match against Sheffield United. The Gunners’ 10th consecutive unbeaten league game shows their title credentials, but tougher challenges lie ahead as they aim to maintain their position at the top of the Premier League.
