‎Crystal Palace is reportedly positioning itself to lure Andoni Iraola away from Bournemouth as they search for a successor to outgoing manager Oliver Glasner.

‎Athletic Club has already intensified its pursuit of the Spanish coach, but Palace has now entered the race and made its interest known.

‎Iraola is widely expected to leave Bournemouth at the end of the season, with his contract set to expire. That situation creates a clear opening for him to move to South London and take charge at Selhurst Park.

‎Iraola addressed the rumours after the 2-2 draw with Manchester United and said he remains content at the club.

‎”No, it doesn’t have anything to do with me,” Iraola told reporters.

‎”Probably as a supporter because it is my club, but no, it doesn’t affect the situation.

‎”I’ve said it a lot of times I’m very happy here. I have a great relationship with the club and we will indeed have to decide according to this, but it’s a situation I have had most of my years as manager. It is not new to me.”

‎According to The Telegraph, Crystal Palace is weighing up a surprise move for Athletic Club target Andoni Iraola, which would mark an unusual managerial switch between two Premier League sides.

‎Iraola has recorded 37 wins in 107 league matches during his nearly three-year spell in England, with his teams scoring 158 goals and conceding 161. His current side sits above Crystal Palace as they push for a European place with seven games remaining. Crystal Palace are reportedly ready to steal away Andoni Iraola from Bournemouth as they try to replace Oliver Glasner.

‎Palace will part ways with Glasner at the end of the campaign, while Iraola’s current contract expires at the end of the season, which opens a door of opportunity for him to make the switch to South London.

‎With interest continuing to build, Iraola will decide on his future at the end of the season.
