Nigeria Beats Cameroon To Secure AFCON Quarter-Final Spot

The Super Eagles of Nigeria had an impressive run against the Indomitable Lion of Cameroon on Saturday to book a spot in the 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Ademola Lookman, who plays for Italian Serie A side, Atalanta, emerged as the standout performer, netting two goals for the Super Eagles.

SportXparte reports that Nigeria triumphed over their fierce adversaries, Cameroon, in a round of 16 matches at the 2023 AFCON held in Cote d’Ivoire.

Lookman showcased his skills by scoring a goal in each half, propelling the Super Eagles to secure a 2-0 victory and advance to the quarter-finals of the tournament.

Under the guidance of Coach Jose Peseiro, the Nigerian team will now face Angola in their upcoming AFCON quarter-final match scheduled for Friday.
