Riccardo Calafiori is poised to become part of the Arsenal team once the final details of his move from Bologna are finalized on Wednesday.

The two teams have completed the necessary paperwork for the transfer of the defender, according to The Athletic.

Calafiori will be going through medical examinations with the Gunners before he moves for the summer.

This transfer is anticipated to be a deal valued at approximately €50 million (£42.1 million).

It’s known that other Premier League clubs, including Juventus and Real Madrid, have also shown interest in Calafiori in the past week.

However, Calafiori has expressed his desire to join Arsenal and has committed to it.

Trevoh Chalobah Fears He Is Being Forced Out Of Chelsea

Meanwhile, Trevoh Chalobah feels he is being forced out of Chelsea against his will after being left out of the club’s pre-season tour, and the defender is expected to assess his options before deciding whether to leave.

The 25-year-old was unexpectedly left out of the squad for the five-match tour of the United States, which was announced on Monday, prompting Chelsea to intensify their efforts to sell him.

The former England Under-21 defender, who played 13 Premier League games last season following recovery from a thigh injury, reportedly feels surprised and disheartened by his omission, especially after beginning training with the new manager, Enzo Maresca.

Chalobah, who joined Chelsea at the age of nine and would therefore be bankable as pure profit for accounting purposes if sold, has several admirers in the Premier League and beyond.

But he is said to be determined not to rush to sign for the first team that makes an offer and will weigh up any opportunities for a permanent move.

Chalobah’s camp is reportedly quite disappointed with Chelsea’s decision, especially considering that it has been less than two years since he was awarded an extension to 2028, with the option for a year.
