Chelsea, Arsenal Still In Battle To Sign Victor Osimhen
Chelsea Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen is still attracting interest from Arsenal, with Chelsea also keenly interested in getting the Napoli forward.
According to football transfer expert, Ben Jacobs, two Premier League top clubs are both actively pursuing the Nigerian player.
Despite recently extending his contract with Serie A champions, Osimhen is anticipated to depart this summer. His new deal is believed to include a release clause of around €130m.
In addition to Chelsea and Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain, the reigning champions of Ligue 1, have also shown interest in the talented forward.
Jacobs emphasized that Osimhen’s main objective is to secure a move to England by the conclusion of the season.
“We still can’t rule out Arsenal in the race for Osimhen. It’s also true that PSG have Osimhen very, very high on their list of targets and can move in the market because they will free up money due to Kylian Mbappe’s departure,” the journalist told Givemesport.
“I’m still told by sources that Osimhen’s priority is the Premier League, which is encouraging for Chelsea and Arsenal. He would be looking for about £250,000 per week, which Arsenal, Chelsea and PSG would all be happy to pay.”
