Done Deal: All Manchester City Completed Deals In January Transfer Window
Manchester City had a relatively quiet January transfer window, with their main focus being on outgoing players.
One notable departure was Kalvin Phillips, who joined West Ham on loan in search of more playing time.
Phillips had a mixed spell at City since his arrival last summer, making only two Premier League starts in 18 months.
Despite interest from various clubs across Europe, West Ham secured his services. However, Phillips was not the only City player embarking on a new adventure this month.
City’s recruitment drive last summer was successful, with key signings such as Josko Gvardiol, Mateo Kovacic, Matheus Nunes, and Jeremy Doku.
These signings, totalling £200 million, helped offset the departures of players like Ilkay Gundogan, who moved to Barcelona, and Riyad Mahrez.
As a result, City did not need to make many moves in the January window. Their only senior arrival was Argentine prospect Claudio Echeverri, who immediately returned to River Plate on loan after completing his £12.5 million transfer.
Below are the incoming and outgoing transfers at Manchester City in the just concluded January transfer window.
