North London side, Arsenal, has announced that two of its youngsters, Reuell Walters and Amario Cozier-Duberry, have left the club.

Sportxparte reports that the English Premier League top club made this announcement via their official website on Monday.

“Young pros Reuell Walters and Amario Cozier-Duberry have left the club.

“We wish Reuell and Amario the best in their future careers,” Arsenal wrote on its official website today.

Reuell, 19, became a part of Arsenal’s youth program in October 2020 and secured his initial professional deal in February 2022.

Amario, also 19, entered Arsenal’s youth program in September 2019 and received his first professional agreement in June 2022.

Since the start of the trading period in England a few weeks back, the Gunners have been in talks with several players.

Sportxparte reports that the ongoing Euro 2024 tournament in Germany has been the top priority for most of them, influencing Arsenal’s transfer strategy.

Players like Joshua Kimmich, Riccardo Calafiori, Martin Zubimendi, Amadou Onana, and Johan Bakayoko have been rumoured to be joining Arsenal for the tournament.

Their potential to join the team brings a sense of hope and optimism. However, as the competition nears its end, many potential recruits have already moved on.

Given this, Arsenal could start making moves in the coming days.

However, it’s worth noting that most of these players, including Calafiori, who had already left Germany after Italy’s elimination, are still available for potential signings.

Even if a player caught Arteta and Edu’s eye and was eliminated early in the group stages, it was unlikely Arsenal could have made a deal, but that situation has changed.

This evolving situation in the transfer window keeps the audience engaged and interested.

Transfer Window Opens

Today, Monday, July 1, the summer transfer window opened in Italy, Germany, Spain, France, and Portugal, two weeks after the Premier League trading period began.

With this in mind, Arsenal can sign Calafiori if they choose to, as Bologna has agreed it’s impossible to keep him this summer.

Juventus is currently leading the race, but there have been discussions with players from north London, including Liverpool, Manchester United, and Real Madrid.

The potential signings of Calafiori and Kimmich bring a sense of excitement and eagerness for the upcoming season.

The Serie A team has reportedly set Calafiori’s asking price at around £40 million, considering his position as a left-footed centre-back is in high demand.

Meanwhile, Joshua Kimmich is still playing in Euro 2024 and could continue until mid-July with Germany.

As his contract with Bayern ends in 2025, teams interested in him hope to negotiate a deal before the 2024/25 season, possibly for as little as £30 million.

Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany has mentioned that Arsenal is among the few teams interested in Kimmich.

With Aaron Ramsdale set to leave elsewhere, there’s a good chance Arteta will look to sign a new goalkeeper.

Many players have been linked, but Joan Garcia of Espanyol, known for his similarities to David Raya, seems like the best match for him.
