Fulham Agrees Deal For Arsenal’s Emile Smith Rowe

Fulham has reached a deal in principle to acquire Emile Smith Rowe from Arsenal for an initial fee of £27 million, with potential add-ons that could bring the total to £34 million.

The midfielder, who played just 346 minutes in the Premier League last season, is anticipated to undergo a medical examination later this week.

The transfer agreement sees £27m go to Arsenal as a fixed fee with a further £7m in extras.

Smith Rowe is set to become Fulham’s first permanent signing of the summer as the club aims to reinvest the funds received from João Palhinha’s transfer to Bayern Munich.

The attacking midfielder made his Arsenal debut in the Europa League match against Vorskla Poltava in September 2018, having progressed through the club’s academy.

He solidified his position in the first team in 2020 following loan spells at Huddersfield and RB Leipzig.

The 24-year-old has won three senior England caps, the last in March 2022, but he was a member of the squad that won the UEFA European Under-21 Championship last summer.

Overall, he made 115 appearances for the north London club, scoring 18 goals and registering 13 assists.

Fulham will fly to Portugal for a pre-season training camp on Tuesday, and it is anticipated Smith Rowe will join the squad at some point during the camp.
