Feyenoord coach Arne Slot has confirmed the reports linking him to a move to Liverpool and has informed the Dutch club of his desire to depart, as announced on Thursday.

“I want to be Liverpool’s next manager, my decision is clear. Feyenoord and Liverpool are in talks to negotiate, I’m waiting for what comes of it. I’m confident, waiting for the clubs to reach an understanding,” Slot told ESPN.

In the past few days, various names have emerged as potential candidates for the Liverpool job, which will become vacant at the end of the season when Jurgen Klopp departs. Sporting coach Ruben Amorim is considered one of the top contenders, along with the Dutch coach.
