‎Liverpool defender, Ibrahima Konate, has reportedly indicated that he could leave for Real Madrid this summer.

‎The 26-year-old is entering the final year of his contract with Liverpool in the 2025-26 season. Negotiations over a new contract are said to be moving slowly.

‎Now, according to a report from Spanish outlet Marca, Konate has told the Premier League champions he would like to join Real Madrid this summer, but only if they come in for him.

‎Xabi Alonso’s team is looking to sign a new centre-back despite already signing Dean Huijsen. The club has a top French defender on their shortlist.

‎Real Madrid is also interested and may make a move in the new year if Konaté does not renew his contract with Liverpool.
