Injury Blow For Arsenal As Noni Madueke Faces Lengthy Spell Out
Arsenal winger, Noni Madueke, is expected to be sidelined for about two months after suffering a knee injury in Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Manchester City.
The 23-year-old began the match but was replaced at halftime by the returning Bukayo Saka.
“He had an issue very early in the match and he wasn’t well enough to continue,” head coach Mikel Arteta said after the game
Scans on Monday confirmed that Noni Madueke has avoided an ACL injury, but he is still expected to miss several upcoming Arsenal matches and at least one international window.
His setback adds to Arsenal’s growing list of forward injuries. Kai Havertz remains sidelined after undergoing knee surgery in late August.
Meanwhile, Gabriel Jesus has been out since tearing the ACL in his left knee in January, leaving new signing Victor Gyokeres as the squad’s only natural No. 9.
Arsenal is also without captain Martin Odegaard, who has struggled with a shoulder injury at the start of this season.
Madueke joined Arsenal from Chelsea for an initial £48.5 million ($65.5 million) in the summer, and he has featured in all six of their matches in the 2025-26 season.
The north London club has won three of its first five Premier League games and will next face Port Vale in the Carabao Cup third round on Wednesday.
