Juventus Set To Offer Aston Villa 2 Players, Cash In Exchange For Arsenal’s Target Douglas Luiz

Reports suggest that Juventus is prepared to make a mouthwatering offer to Premier League club, Aston Villa, in exchange for Douglas Luiz, which includes two players as well as cash.

Sportxparte reports that the Serie A giants, under the leadership of new manager Thiago Motta, are looking to revamp their squad.

Luiz, who is 26 years old, has become a prime target for Motta and his team this summer, although he will come at a significant cost.

Like several other Premier League clubs, Aston Villa needs to generate funds through player sales before the end of the month to comply with profit and sustainability regulations.

In order to strengthen their squad for their upcoming Champions League campaign while adhering to the PSR rules, Villa may consider selling Luiz to Juventus in a part-exchange deal.

According to Italian outlet Calciomercato, the two clubs have already engaged in discussions regarding a potential agreement. Initially, it was reported that Juventus could include midfielder Weston McKennie in the deal.

However, it is now being suggested that they would also be willing to part ways with English wonderkid Samuel Iling-Junior, which could further entice Aston Villa.

McKennie, who is 25 years old, has previous experience in the Premier League, having made 20 appearances for Leeds during his loan spell in January 2023.

Upon his return to Juventus, he regained a regular spot in their lineup and featured in 34 Serie A matches last season.

On the other hand, Iling-Junior, a 20-year-old left winger born in London, joined Juventus in 2020 after spending nine years in Chelsea’s academy.

He has already made 45 appearances for Juventus’ first team, including 24 outings in Serie A last season.

Sportxparte reports that Luiz’s potential move to Arsenal during the summer of 2022 was highly anticipated, but he ultimately decided to sign a new contract with Villa in October of that same year after a failed deadline-day transfer.

Despite this, Arsenal has maintained their interest in him, although Juventus may outbid them for his services.

Luiz made the switch to Villa from Manchester City in 2019 and has since made 204 appearances for the club. Last season was particularly successful for him, as he scored nine goals and provided five assists in the Premier League.

In addition to Luiz, Juventus is also pursuing deals for Serie A players Teun Koopmeiners, Michele Di Gregorio, and Riccardo Calafiori.

On the other hand, Villa is considering replacing Luiz with Tottenham’s Giovani Lo Celso, who previously worked with their manager at Villarreal.

According to recent reports, Emery’s team is keen on acquiring the Argentine midfielder.
