Kane Becomes Fastest To 100 Goals As Bayern Thrashes Werder Bremen
Bayern Munich striker, Harry Kane, has become the fastest player in history to reach 100 goals for a club in Europe’s top five leagues.
He achieved the milestone in just 104 games after scoring twice in a Bundesliga clash against Werder Bremen. The England captain converted a first-half penalty to make it 2-0 after Luis Diaz’s opener, then added another goal in the second half.
Kane broke the record previously shared by Erling Haaland and Cristiano Ronaldo, who both reached the mark in 105 games.
Kane, who ended his long association with Tottenham to join Bayern in 2023, is now the 19th player to score 100 goals for the club.
Kane has been electrifying for Bayern this season, scoring 10 goals in five league games. He also has 16 in all competitions for club and country in just 10 appearances.
He has more than double the league goals of his teammate Diaz (who has four), placing Diaz second in the Bundesliga scoring chart.
Bayern followed up with a 4-0 victory, with Konrad Laimer also finding the net.
The win keeps them atop the Bundesliga table, undefeated after five matches, with 22 goals scored.
