Leicester City secured their remarkable eighth title in England’s second tier with a resounding 3-0 triumph over Preston North End at Deepdale.

The match started with, Leicester City asserting their dominance, with Jamie Vardy’s early attempt testing Preston’s goalkeeper Freddie Woodman. The visitors’ attacking intent was evident, and they could have taken the lead within the opening quarter-hour if not for Woodman’s quick reflexes denying Vardy. The pressure continued to mount, and Kasey McAteer squandered a golden opportunity with a close-range header, much to the disbelief of the traveling Leicester fans.

However, Leicester’s persistence paid off as Jamie Vardy the club legend, broke the deadlock just before halftime with a clinical finish from Yunus Akgün’s assist. The Foxes went into the break with a deserved lead, setting the stage for a captivating second half.
