‎Liverpool have announced the signing of rising Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez, marking their third addition of a busy summer transfer window.

‎Kerkez joins Anfield for an estimated £40 million following two impressive seasons on the south coast, complementing new signings Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz.

‎The 21-year-old flew in on Monday to undergo the first part of his medical tests and then completed those on Tuesday before the official announcement came on Thursday morning.

‎Regarding the move, the Hungary international said, “I’m really happy. It’s a real honour for me, a privilege to come to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world, the biggest club in England. I’m just really, really happy and excited.

‎”After this, I’ll go home and in my hometown enjoy a few days, and then I can’t really wait to come back and put the training kit on and start to train and prepare for the season.”

‎”I just want to thank everyone for really showing me big love, even before it was announced now

‎”And keep supporting the team, as you always do, because you’re the biggest fan base in the world.

‎”I’m going to give everything, absolutely everything, to win trophies with the club and to hopefully score some goals at Anfield. I can’t wait to hear the roar. And see you soon.

‎Kerkez’s arrival adds to what has already been a busy summer for the Premier League champions.

‎Liverpool acted swiftly to find a replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold following his move to Real Madrid, with Jeremie Frimpong arriving for £29.5 millions.

‎After struggling to break into the senior team in Italy, Kerkez moved to AZ Alkmaar, where a standout breakthrough season in 2022/23 caught the attention of Bournemouth, who then signed the left-back.

‎Kerkez started every match in the 2024/25 Premier League season and registered two goals and six assists.

‎His first competitive appearance for Liverpool could be in the Community Shield against Crystal Palace on Sunday, August 10th.
