Liverpool put in a strong performance on Saturday (today), defeating Burnley 3-1 at Anfield.

This victory propelled Jurgen Klopp’s side back to the top of the English Premier League table, two points ahead of Manchester City who have a game in hand.

Goals from Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz, and Darwin Nunez secured the win for the Reds.

Though Burnley put up a spirited fight, scoring through Dara O’Shea in the 45 minutes, it was not enough to withstand Liverpool’s three goals from its front players.

The victory showcased Liverpool’s attacking prowess and resilience against a determined opponent. Liverpool now leads the Premier League table with 54 points with Pep Guardiola’s City two points behind.
