Liverpool Open Talks To Sign Federico Chiesa From Juventus

Barcelona has recently been linked with Juventus winger, Federico Chiesa as a potentially affordable option for their left-wing position.

However, it appears that Liverpool has now taken the lead in pursuing the 26-year-old winger.

Earlier on Monday, it was reported in Italy that Barcelona had reached a deal with Juventus for Chiesa, who is out of contract next summer and set to leave the club.

According to Matteo Moretto, Liverpool has contacted Juventus about Chiesa to find out the terms of a deal but is yet to move for him, as per Fabrizio Romano.

Multiple sources indicate that Juventus would consider a deal for around €15 million for Federico Chiesa. However, Moretto has reported that Barcelona has not yet made any direct contact with Juventus regarding the winger.

While they have had discussions with his agent, Fali Ramadani, conversations have not progressed further.

From his standpoint, Chiesa is interested in a move to either Barcelona or Liverpool. While he remains a potential target for Barcelona in the closing stages of the transfer market, the club first needs to resolve its salary cap issues.
