Mbappe Speaks On His Future Decision, Olympics Aspirations
French forward, Kylian Mbappe, who is set to leave Paris Saint Germain (PSG) in the summer, said his focus was on representing his national team in the Euros as well as the Olympics in Paris if he is allowed to be available for selection.
Mbappe recently hinted that he believes he will know which club he will join next season before the European Championship kicks off in June.
In a press conference ahead of France’s friendly against Germany, Mbappe addressed the media, stating, “I have still not announced anything on my future as I’ve nothing to announce… I’ve always said that when I have something to announce, I’ll do it as a man. I think my future will be resolved before the Euros, yes.”
Mbappe expressed his desire to play at the Olympics, a dream he has harboured for some time. He stated, “I always wanted to play at the Olympics and my desire has not changed… but if I’m not allowed to, then I will do as I’m told.”
Mbappe’s participation in his home tournament would seem to be complicated by his pending move to Madrid. Although he assured reporters that his future will be determined before the Euros, Los Blancos may be reluctant to let their star striker leave so soon after securing his signature.
