NFF Opens Application For New Super Eagles Coach – (See How To Apply)
The Nigeria Football Federation has announced that the position of head coach for the Super Eagles is now available, as Jose Peseiro’s contract expired at the end of February.
After guiding the Eagles to a commendable second-place finish at the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, the NFF is now actively searching for a suitable replacement.
Contrary to reports suggesting that former coach Austin Eguavoen would be appointed as an interim manager, NFF President Ibrahim Gusau has denied such claims.
Furthermore, the position of the Golden Eaglets’ Head Coach has also been declared vacant.
In an advertisement made available in its public domain on Thursday, the NFF stated the prospective Super Eagles coach “must have proven experience at the elite level of football.”
The NFF added that applications can be sent to “The email – jobs@thenff.com or via the link – https//thenff.com/jobs/head-coach-of-the-senior-mens-national-team-super-eagle/ latest by 6pm Tuesday, March 12, 2024.”
Sportxparte reports that the Super Eagles do not have any scheduled matches leading up to the March 18 international break.
However, the federation is currently tasked with the responsibility of selecting a new coach for the team prior to their upcoming World Cup qualifiers in June.
