Palace Chairman Parish Confirms Wharton’s UCL Ambition Amid Man United Interest

‎Manchester United have been handed a clear warning over their pursuit of Adam Wharton, with Crystal Palace chairman, Steve Parish, revealing the midfielder’s desire to play in the Champions League.

‎The 20-year-old has been a standout performer since joining Palace, quickly attracting attention from top Premier League clubs. United views Wharton as a potential long-term successor to Casemiro as they plan their midfield overhaul.

‎However, with Kobbie Mainoo also facing uncertainty over his playing time, the club may need to resolve internal issues before pursuing new signings.

‎Wharton’s standout performances at Selhurst Park have already drawn attention from top clubs across Europe, including Real Madrid and Manchester United.

‎Commenting on the midfielder’s transfer speculation, the Eagles’ co-owner told talkSPORT, “I think Adam at some point will want to play either in the Champions League with us, if we can make that happen, or probably with another club.

‎“He’s an extraordinary talent. I think right now, and I can’t speak for Adam, but I think he’s focused on his time at Crystal Palace. He had a broken season last year due to the groin issues that many young players experience.

‎”I think this season he’s completely focused on putting the games in, getting in the England squad, being a regular for us, and making sure that he can show that Saturday, Sunday, Thursday, Sunday.

‎“It’s a difficult programme for us right now. I think he’s very committed to the club.
