Paris 2024: Official Squad Numbers For Super Falcons Players Unveiled

The official team jersey numbers for the Super Falcons’ 18-player lineup for the 2024 Olympic Games have been announced.

Iconic forward Asisat Oshoala will sport jersey number eight, a reliable defender, Chiamaka Nnadozie will wear jersey number 16, and Portugal’s Benfica star, Christy Ucheibe, will wear jersey number 10.

Forward from Russia, Chukwunonye Macleans has been assigned jersey number nine, while Nicole Payne will wear jersey number four, which the injured Ashleigh Plumptre previously wore.

Payne’s older sister, Toni Payne, will continue to wear jersey number seven, and captain Rasheedat Ajibade will remain with jersey number 15.

Other jersey numbers include Osinachi Ohale (3), Tosin Demehin (14), Jennifer Echegini (11), and Uchenna Kanu (12).

The Super Falcons will kick off their tournament against Brazil at the Stade Bordeaux on Thursday.

Randy Waldrum’s team will also take on world champions Spain and Japan in the same group.

Osimhen’s Next Club Revealed

In other news, renowned football transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano revealed that Nigerian professional footballer Victor Osimhen has confirmed his move to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

According to Romano, PSG are in talks to sign Osimhen from Napoli and Benfica’s João Neves for the upcoming week.

He shared this information on his official X-handle on Sunday, July 21.

“Paris Saint-Germain are planning to advance for both João Neves and Victor Osimhen from next week.

“Benfica understands João’s desire to join PSG; talks are advancing between the clubs to get it done.

“Osimhen said yes to PSG. The deal with Napoli is not close yet but talks on,” Romano wrote on X.
