Parma Calcio has secured their promotion back to Italy’s Serie A after a three-year in the second division. The historic moment came after a hard-fought 1-1 draw with Bari, solidifying their position at the top of the Serie B table with an impressive 74 points. With just two games remaining, Parma stands seven points clear of Venezia in third place, all but guaranteeing their return to the top flight.

Joining Parma in Serie A next season is likely to be Como, who currently sit in second place, three points behind Parma. Como holds a comfortable four-point lead over Venezia, who will now have to battle it out in the playoffs for a chance at promotion.

The journey back to Serie A marks a significant milestone for Parma, a club with a rich history in Italian football. While they have never clinched the Italian league title, Parma boasts an impressive record of three Italian Cup triumphs. Their success extends beyond domestic competitions, with notable victories in European tournaments. Parma clinched the prestigious Cup Winners’ Cup in 1993 and went on to secure the UEFA Cup in 1995 and 1999, cementing their legacy on the continental stage.
