‎PSG announced on Saturday that they have signed French goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier from Lille on a contract extending to 2030.

‎Media reports pegged the transfer fee at about €40 million ($47 million). The 23-year-old is expected to challenge Gianluigi Donnarumma for the first-choice spot, with Donnarumma entering the final year of his contract, in Luis Enrique’s squad.

‎”I am a kid who is living his dream. Ever since I was small I wanted to play at the highest level,” Chevalier said.

‎”I’m really delighted to be here. I will wear this shirt with passion and ambition.”

‎Calais-born Lucas Chevalier came through Lille’s youth system and spent time on loan at Valenciennes before establishing himself as Lille’s first-choice keeper in the 2022-23 season.
