‎Davide Ancelotti is reportedly very close to becoming the next manager of Rangers, as he appears prepared to exit his role in Real Madrid’s coaching staff.

‎As the son of current Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti, Davide is expected to leave the club at the end of the season once his father departs.

‎Xabi Alonso looks set to become the new head honcho at the Santiago Bernabeu, with the legendary Italian taking charge of the Brazil national team for the upcoming 2026 World Cup.

‎According to Spanish outlet Diario AS, Ancelotti Jr is set to take over at Scottish club Rangers imminently.

‎Rangers have been without a permanent manager since the dismissal of Philippe Clement in February.

‎Barry Ferguson has taken interim charge of the club since then, but they currently sit 17 points behind arch-rivals and champions Celtic in the Scottish Premier League.

‎Taking the Rangers job would represent Ancelotti’s first managerial role, following nearly a decade spent as part of his father’s coaching staff.
