Real Madrid Yet To Confirm Valverde’s Injury After Knock Against Liverpool
Federico Valverde featured for most of Real Madrid’s Champions League match against Liverpool on Tuesday, but he sustained an injury, and the club has not yet issued an official statement on his condition.
”Yes, I don’t know if it was something muscular or some movement I made that hurt. We’ll see,” said Valverde after playing 90 minutes at Anfield and even signalling to the bench that he might have to be substituted.
The match took place on Tuesday, and a medical update was expected by Wednesday or Thursday, similar to the statement confirming Aurelien Tchouameni’s injury.
However, sources within the club indicate that no official announcement has been made yet.
This delay is reportedly due to Federico Valverde’s intense competitiveness and desire to keep playing.
As a result, confirmation of his absence from the squad to face Rayo Vallecano this weekend has been postponed.
The information received indicates that, according to the medical criteria, the Uruguayan international should be out of action, given that he is very fatigued on a muscular level.
Valverde’s trademark determination has prompted the coaching staff to delay making a final decision about his availability.
He is eager to impress Xabi Alonso and prove his ability to feature in every match.
Up to this point in the season, the only game Valverde has missed was the Champions League clash against Kairat Almaty.
