Sevilla Vs Athletic Bilbao: Coach Valverde Reacts To 2-0 Win In La Liga Clash

Athletic Bilbao secured a 2-0 victory over Sevilla, with Mikel Vesga and Itor Paredes scoring the winning runs, bringing coach Ernesto Valverde immense joy.

Valverde has since commented on the victory saying: “It was important to start the year with a win”.

Athletic Bilbao had attempted to dominate Sevilla, which was in a precarious condition with numerous casualties.

They had a clearer opportunity in the first half but were aware that Sevilla would exert pressure on them in the second half.
