Chido Obi-Martin has made the decision to join Manchester United following his departure from Arsenal.

The 16-year-old has left the Gunners after his contract expired, despite discussions with manager Mikel Arteta, who attempted to persuade him to remain with the club.

However, Obi-Martin and Arsenal could not come to an agreement regarding which team he would be a part of in the upcoming season and financial matters.

The Nigerian-born forward, who currently represents Denmark’s U-17 team, will now transfer to United.

This information was confirmed by popular football transfer specialist, Fabrizio Romano, on Tuesday evening.

Romano wrote on X: “EXCLUSIVE: Chido Obi Martin to Man United, here we go! Talented striker leaves Arsenal and he’s just accepted a Man Utd proposal.

“Pathway key for Chido who’s turned down higher bids from Germany to sign for Man United.

“Project convinced 2007 born top talent to accept #MUFC.”

Iheanacho is scheduled to arrive in Spain on Tuesday (today) for his medical examinations.

Following the completion of his medicals, Iheanacho is expected to sign the contract documents.

The 27-year-old forward will be joining the La Liga club on a free transfer, following his departure from the Premier League club, Leicester City, last month.

Iheanacho will be reunited with his Super Eagles teammate, Chidera Ejuke, at Sevilla, who also signed with the La Liga club on a free transfer.
