UEFA Nations League Draw: Spain Faces The Netherlands
The draw for the UEFA Nations League quarterfinals was made on Friday, with holders Spain being drawn against Netherlands and Germany set to play Italy as the marquee ties.
All matches will be held over two legs, with the top-seeded teams from the League A groups hosting the second leg at home. Teams from the same League A group are not allowed to face each other in the draw.
Croatia, who lost in the final of the most recent edition of the tournament via penalties, are to play France in a rematch of the 2018 World Cup final, while Cristiano Ronaldo and his Portugal team face Denmark.
The draws for the promotion and relegation playoffs between the leagues were also conducted and are scheduled to take place in March 2025, alongside the quarterfinals, except for the League C/D matches.
Turkey is to play Hungary to see who will play in the top tier for the next cycle, with Ukraine up against Belgium, Austria meeting Serbia, and Greece vs. Scotland.
The League B/C playoff pairings saw Kosovo drawn against Iceland, Bulgaria vs. Republic of Ireland, Armenia vs. Georgia and Slovakia vs. Slovenia.
In the League C/D matches, bottom-tier Gibraltar will face Latvia, while Malta will go up against Luxembourg, both scheduled for March 2026.
